MISSION BOLIVIA

The Butcher family moved from Medway (where they were part of the Cornerstone City Church Community) to Santa Cruz in 2021. They have a mission to rescue, restore, and share the love of God through a Mission Centre in Bolivia. The centre works with street children, the disadvantaged and the elderly. We keep in regular contact with Mission Bolivia and the existing organisations they're working with to see their vision of transforming lives become a reality. You can find out more information here.

MEDWAY FOODBANK

Every day people in the UK go hungry. Rising costs of food and fuel combined with static income, high unemployment and changes to benefits are causing more and more people to come to foodbanks for help. Medway Foodbank provides a minimum of 3 days emergency food and support to people experiencing crisis within the Medway towns. It's run by trained professionals who support and signpost users to additional, specific help. Click here to find out more and learn how you can join us in supporting them.

STREET PASTORS

A Street Pastor is a Church member with a concern for society and who is willing to engage people where they are - be it on the streets, in the pubs and clubs or at parties. Working with fellow activists, church and community leaders, Street Pastors find ways to ingratiate themselves in their local community, so people know that there's a Christian always ready to support. It's not about preaching heaven and hell. It's about listening, caring and helping. To hear more about Medway Street Pastors click here.

CARING HANDS

Caring Hands is a day centre offering support to the Medway communities. It offers assistance with basic computer training, advocacy, Jobsearch, CVs and Benefits Assessments. The service, originally created by Kings Church, seeks to help people rise above their past circumstances and reach forward to a much brighter future. It is not a handout, but a hand UP! Click here to find out more.

HOME FOR GOOD

Every day more than 50 children are taken into care in the UK. As a result, there are currently 6,000 children waiting to be adopted and an additional 8,600 foster families are urgently needed. We believe that the Church is ideally placed to meet this need – both in terms of finding families that could foster or adopt and also in terms of providing an excellent community of support to wrap around families that foster or adopt. This is why Home for Good exists and why we at Cornerstone City Church believe in actively encouraging, supporting and promoting foster & adoptive families. Find out more here.

HOPE CHURCH

In 2018, members from Cornerstone City Church left to start a new church in Sittingbourne, Kent. Built on a passion for the local area and people, faith in God and the support of Cornerstone, Hope Church, Sittingbourne is thriving in what it set out to do! Learn more here.
